Railways Minister Announces Restoration of Train Services in Balochistan
In a major development for Pakistan’s railway network, Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi has announced the restoration of train services in Balochistan, bringing relief to passengers and boosting connectivity in the region. Starting tomorrow, train operations will resume with two key services:
-
Jafar Express will once again run between Peshawar and Quetta, with its return service scheduled every Friday.
-
Bolan Mail will operate daily between Quetta and Karachi, offering a reliable travel option for passengers.
Enhancing Security & Expanding Rail Services
To ensure passenger safety and maintain order at railway stations, the minister also announced plans to recruit 1,500 security personnel. This move aims to create a safer and more efficient railway system for travelers across the province.
Abbasi further expressed his commitment to revitalizing Balochistan’s railway network, aiming to restore the number of trains to levels last seen in 2003-2004. This ambitious goal signals a renewed focus on infrastructure development, economic growth, and enhanced public transportation services.
A Positive Shift for Balochistan’s Rail Network
The restoration of these services is expected to provide economic benefits, improve inter-city connectivity, and enhance trade and travel opportunities in the province. The move is widely seen as a positive step towards development in Balochistan, a region that has long faced transportation challenges.
With improved security and an increased number of operational trains, the future of railway transportation in Balochistan looks promising. The government's initiative is expected to bring convenience, reliability, and progress to the people of the province.
