Millions Gather at the Grand Mosque in Makkah for the 23rd Night of Ramadan
The spiritual energy in Makkah reached new heights as over three million worshippers gathered at the Grand Mosque on the 22nd day and 23rd night of Ramadan. This sacred period, considered one of the most blessed in the Islamic calendar, saw thousands of devotees engaging in prayers, with Isha and Taraweeh drawing the largest congregations.
According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, an astounding 662,500 Umrah pilgrims entered the mosque through its main gates. Among them, King Abdulaziz Gate witnessed the highest influx, welcoming 235,800 pilgrims on this spiritually significant night.
As the final ten nights of Ramadan continue, the number of worshippers is expected to rise further. Authorities are actively managing the massive influx, ensuring the smooth flow of pilgrims while maintaining security, cleanliness, and adequate facilities for all visitors.
