When my bridesmaids and I were looking around for bridesmaid dresses for my wedding, among my bridesmaids e-mailed me a connect to this Melissa Sweet dress, which I think is adorable.

"But I don't know if you would like your bridesmaids wearing white," she said.

As I bride, I wasn't particularly worried about anyone wearing white, but I didn't take into consideration that dress "wearing white."

In slightly related news, two actresses wore similarly color-blocked dresses towards the MTV Movie Awards yesterday. I'm wondering if you would wear either to a marriage or if you believe they count as "wearing white."

Victoria Justice's Erin Fetherston dress was white up top.

While Emma Stone's Martin Grant frock was white on the bottom.

Would you wear either dress as a marriage guest? Or do you believe they're inappropriate for a marriage?

It would need to be a pretty chi-chi wedding for Emma's dress to work—it wasn't made for any rustic in-the-woods affair—but I would happen to be FINE if your guest had worn that to my wedding. I think gold bridesmaid dresses is a touch more questionable since should you be photographed using the bride in the waist up, it could look like you had been both wearing all white. But because the bride, I wouldn't happen to be bothered by that one, either.
