For most players, they all want to experience their favorite games and launch more new content. Here, the 4.0 expansion of the base game was announced, just to shift the hype completely to another major announcement: Path of Exile 2.

The sequel to Path of Exile shouldn’t really be labeled because it will be the same game, but the player can choose which campaign to run, and this choice is also accompanied by the base Path of Exile Currency and Path of Exile 2. The playable characters in Path of Exile 2 will be new characters with their own Ascendancy classes, and the game will be full of new Acts and various customization options.

The game was scheduled originally to be released in 2022, but because of the pandemic and the lack of environmental artists in GGG, Chris Wilson said the release date may be 2024 or earlier. So players can enjoy the current Scourge League first, or prepare enough POE Currency in advance.
