  • #Facebook is developing 'Facebook Pay' that would work as payment gateway across all the Facebook apps. for example Facebook is rolling out their #whatsapp payment system in #Brazil.
Once 'Facebook Pay' is ready and they roll out it across the globe, Will it impact local digital payment gateways (companies)?

Since you know Facebook has almost 1.73 billion active users and #whatsapp around#2billion. #Google has already launched Google Pay (almost 17 countries). Do you think Facebook and Google will eat most of the small, medium and local digital payment companies with their e-payement solutions?

(Because SMEs and local companies could never compete tech giants)

    Your thoughts?

  • #GET (Post-1)

    #BASIC_STRUCTURES:

GET is one of the commonest words in English, and is used in many different ways. It is sometimes avoided in a very formal style, but it is correct and natural in most kinds of speech and writing. The meaning of get depends on what kind of word comes after it.
With a DIRECT OBJECT, the basic meaning is 'OBTAIN'. 'COME TO HAVE'; with OTHER KINDS OF WORD, the basic meaning is 'BECOME', 'COME TO BE'.

    GET + NOUN/PRONOUN: (I got a letter)

With a DIRECT OBJECT (noun or pronoun), "GET" usually means 'RECEIVE', 'FETCH', 'OBTAIN', 'CATCH' or something similar. The exact meaning depends on the object.
    EXAMPLE
I got a letter from Adnan this morning.
Can you come and get me from the station when I arrive?
If I listen to loud music I get a headache.
If you get a number 6 bus, it stops right outside our house.

GET can be used with two objects.
    EXAMPLE:
Let me get you a drink.

    Other meanings are sometimes possible.
    EXAMPLE:
    I didn't get the joke. ( = understand )
I'll get you for this, you idiot. ( = punish, make suffer )

GET + NOUN is not normally used to mean 'BECOME'. To express this meaning, we can use GET TO BE + NOUN.
    EXAMPLE:
Asim is getting to be a lovely kid.

    GET + ADJECTIVE: (getting old)

Before an ADJECTIVE, "GET" usually means 'BECOME'.
    EXAMPLE:
As you get old, your memory gets worse.
    My feet are getting cold.

With OBJECT + ADJECTIVE, the meaning is 'MAKE SOMEBODY/SOMETHING BECOME'.
    EXAMPLE:
It's time to get the kids ready for school.
I can't get my hands warm.
We must get the house clean before mother arrives.
