Jumatul Wida: A Day of Prayers, Unity, and Solidarity with Palestine
As the blessed month of Ramadan nears its end, Jumatul Wida, the last Friday of the holy month, is being observed across Pakistan with deep religious devotion and solemnity. Mosques are filled with worshippers seeking blessings, forgiveness, and divine mercy on this sacred day.
Special prayers are being offered for Pakistan’s prosperity, unity, and peace, as well as for harmony among Muslims worldwide. Religious scholars are delivering sermons highlighting the significance of Ramadan and Jumatul Wida, urging the faithful to continue practicing the values of patience, piety, and charity even beyond the holy month.
International Al-Quds Day: A Call for Justice
In addition to Jumatul Wida, International Al-Quds Day is also being observed today. This day is dedicated to expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine and condemning the oppression they face. Across Pakistan, rallies and gatherings are being held to voice support for the Palestinian cause and to call for an end to injustices in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and other occupied territories.
Muslims worldwide recognize Jumatul Wida as a day of immense spiritual significance, a time to seek blessings and reflect on their faith, while also standing up for the oppressed. The combined observance of Jumatul Wida and Al-Quds Day serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of unity, justice, and compassion in the Muslim world.
May this sacred day bring peace, strength, and guidance to all, and may our prayers be answered. Ameen.
