Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Distributes Eid Gifts to 40,000 Special Needs Children
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has taken a heartwarming initiative by launching a special campaign to distribute Eid gifts to 40,000 special needs children in government institutions. This generous gesture aims to bring smiles to the faces of children who deserve love, care, and attention, especially during the festive season.
The initiative was officially inaugurated at the Government Degree College of Special Education in Johar Town, where children received their Eid gifts with joy and excitement. Acting on the CM’s directive, Special Assistant Sania Aashiq visited various special education institutions in Lahore to personally distribute gifts on behalf of Maryam Nawaz.
Speaking about the campaign, Maryam Nawaz emphasized that this initiative is more than just a celebration; it reflects the government's commitment to improving educational and welfare facilities for special needs children in Punjab. She reiterated that her government will continue to take meaningful steps to ensure that children with disabilities receive the care, attention, and resources they need to thrive.
This move has been widely praised by educators, parents, and social activists, who see it as a positive step towards inclusivity and social responsibility. The initiative highlights the Punjab government’s dedication to creating a supportive environment where every child, regardless of their abilities, can experience the joy of Eid and receive equal opportunities for growth and development.
Such compassionate measures not only uplift the spirits of these children but also encourage a more inclusive society. By prioritizing the needs of special children, the Punjab government is setting an example of empathy, care, and responsible governance.
