Unless this is the beginning of a brand new Zelda age
Unless this Animal Crossing Bells is the beginning of a brand new Zelda age and most of Zelda games for the near future will be sequels to BOTW.
Edit: the downvotes, I am not trying to be unwanted. I am still stoked. It has just been so long since the last new Zelda already that I'm already itching for something completely new. I'd like to see that too. Blend the old and the new. I am not gont lie I'd be happy with a completely linear Zelda because I love linear matches however I know a lot of people love the open world facet, therefore there needs to be a wise way to merge both. I like your suggestions.
Well I had the thought they could make a fast sequel to botw employing the same map and resources and only adding/changing items sufficient to justify a brand new game but making it come out quickly. Well here we are four years later who understood it would take a long time to do that. It better be unrecognizable at this stage
The most plausible path to mepersonally: BotW prequel. Hyrule in all its glory. Buildings, not destroys. Perhaps many years ahead of the Calamity. PROPER dungeons - maybe not the 1-3 puzzles cookie cutter shrines along with the god-awful celestial monster rotate-shit nightmares. Classic, enter a big ass dungeon and resolve a lot of puzzles, discover hidden items and work your way through. Let us get back to this.
A direct sequel to BotW. SOME NEW ENEMY THAT IS NOT GANON. Perhaps even make the main character Zelda! Connect is cool and all but after 15ish games as him as the main character, can we play as someone else? Spice up the story a bit... I feel as the stories Cheap Nook Miles Ticket in Zelda are mainly the same, and quite generic. Give us a true story this time.
