Dude, the most vocal critics and the top comments ARE those who like monster crossing games. Half the time that they bring up old AC matches with more functionality/features. Read the Animal Crossing Bells damn comments rather than skimming.

More diverse and purposeful interaction with villagers would be a big plus, because the villagers and their personalities is a huge draw for me , rather moreso than village/house customization. Decorating stuff is probably the most fleshed out part of it but it's kinda delayed gratification, whereas playing or chatting with your villagers is material that's more immediately facing you.

I rather wish the game had a cooking system or something? AC would not ever work as a farming game, obviously, but I wish there was purpose to the fruit and things. Perhaps certain villagers like particular dishes or you could create food for celebrations or something.

I don't know the full details, but this was posted some time before, and I'd guess it'd be coming round the time of the Harvest Festival if that's still a thing.

Yessss. Yeah a lot of the baseline characteristics and gameplay seems like it would support a feature like this, source gathering and recipes etc, so it does not seem like a huge leap. When it does turn into something I would be so happy.

I like New Horizons, but the issue that a lot of players have with is the ongoing issue that the creature personalities are a good deal more dull than the old games. Should you watch footage in the Gamecube version, you'll observe that animals were more"spicy" with respect to how they spoke to you. Oftentimes, they were actually quite rude - insulting you if you refused to assist them/do some thing for them. This was toned down when Wild World premiered, but animals were not overly friendly as they're in buy Animal Crossing New Horizons Nook Miles Ticket New Leaf/New Horizons.
